| My World View |

This page elaborates further on what I hold as my worldview.
But before I go into explaining my worldview, let
me first share what I mean by the term worldview. When
I use the term, worldview, I do not mean the view of
the earth as depicted by the picture to the right. Rather,
what I do mean has more to do with line of sight. For
example, imagine you’ve climbed to the top of
a tower or large building. You would be able to see
farther and get a more accurate view of the world around
you. You could learn quite a bit about the world around
you just by studying what you can see on the tower.
This would be fine except that you’re limited
to what you can see and possibly hear about beyond the
horizon. This is how you see the world. Though limited,
it’s what you have and you base all kinds of decisions
and thoughts on it. With this example in mind, I would
define worldview as the lens or information you use
to understand the world around you.
Now imagine for a moment that you received a letter
from the one that created everything describing his
view of the world. This guy is you know, the head honcho
of the universe. What would you do? Would you study
it and compare what it says to what you can see or would
you ignore it? Would you be willing to change your beliefs
about your world based on the letter? After all, the
author is the guy that created the world you live in.
What more credible source could you have? If not even
the most credible. This, my friends, is a major factor
in understanding the Christian way of seeing the world.
I take this route because this letter from the Creator
also known as the Bible defines my worldview. The rest
of this page will explore what the creator's letter
says about the world. In doing this I will try to answer
the following four questions:
· Who Are
We?
· Where Am
I?
· What's
Wrong?
· What's The
Remedy?
Please click on one of the links above to learn more
about each question. I know many will disagree with
me and your welcome to your opinions. However, my conviction
is this is what scripture says is true. And the fact
that I believe that scripture is totaly true is what
essentially guides this world view. That said, if you
have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel
free to e-mail me.
