Where Am I?
Where Am I? A humorously sarcastic repsonse would be something like, "Your on Planet Earth. Welcome strange being from another planet." Ok, joking aside. Where are we. This is one response we get from the Bible about where are we.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1.

pic of pillars of creationThis verse makes it clear that God created everything we know. The biblical use of the word heaven can mean two things. First, in the singular it refers to the abode of God and second in the plural it refers to the physical sky and stars we that we see at night.(New Bible Dictionary). The phrase, "he was gazing into the heavens" best illustrates this context. In this context God clearly not only created the earth but also the rest of the universe. Not only are we created by God but we also live in the universe he created. So, though a little sarcastic and obivious, the answer to the question, "Where Am I" is quite simply on earth. But we must not forget that we are on an earth that God created.

"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him." Psalm 18:30

This leads us to another question we must answer. If God created us in his image, why is there such evil in humanity today. Just look at the twenth century alone and you have a century riddled with greed, war, and even genocide. A core tenate of Christianity is that God is loving and even perfect. So, how could he allow such evil? What is wrong with the world?
